(BY TELEGRAPH ) Dear Bee, April 6 On Wedresday Mrs John Roberts gave a SMALL LUNCHEON PARTY to a few intimate friends, before going to England. The table was d« corated with various air umn flowers. Amongst the guests were Mrs Roberts end the Misses Roberts. Meads mes Bell (Shag Valley ). Chapman Carr. Fred Chapman. Cook, and Miss Parker. Another ► mall luncheon was given by Mr Baltic man (Royal Terrace). On Friday evening (sth) Mrs A. W. Morris (Marinate) gave a VERY SMART DANCE to bring out her youngest daughter. Ella, tefore leaving Dunedin. The beautiful house looked charming with its numerous lights and decorations—lovely tinted autumn leaves set ofl by red flowers. Cosy cornet a and nooks were arranged all about the no„se. but the splendid wide staircase, transfoinud into a fahies ladder by pot plants and flowers, seemed the favourite res »rt between the dances. The »arge dining-room afforded hmplerpsce for an excellent ait-down supper. Large bowls of chrysanthemums and dahlias were placed dewn the centre of the table with an exceedingly pretty effect.
