The course was looking its bes r . and the appropriation of the Cup by rhe Hon. J. D. O mond was a popular one. this being the first time this owner has carried off this honour. On We ine«*day business was entirely suspended, and almost everyone journeyed by cib to the racecourse. which is pleasantly situat.d near the town, and really within walking distance.
