ONEHUNGA.

Dear Bee. May 27. The concert I told you about last week came off on the Queen’s Birthday. It was a decided success in eveiy way, over £lO being taken at the door. The evening was opened by a pianoforte duet. The performers and vocalists were the Misses Mulkerc, Messrs Mose Jem, Jackson, Gatland, and Watts. Miss Bamford (a sweet soprano). Miss Annie Stevenson (violin), Mr Simpson, Miss Berenice Browne; Mr Harrison recited well. The feature of the evening was, of course. Miss Alice Bimmer’s beautiful singing, which was much appreciated. AN EXCURSION TRIP was arranged to go to the Huia on Wednesday, but as only five persons turned up from town and fewer from Onehunga. of course it did not eventuate.
