Dear Bee, December 28. Quite one of the nicest dances of the season was that given at Avonbank. But I must tell you of the DRESSES AT MRS OTTERSON S BALL. the one I refer to. Mrs Otterson wore white striped satin, and looked lovely : Mrs Pilman. an exquisite dress of palest salmon pink and silver brocade, chiffon trimming, and bunches of pink roses: Mrs Heat in Rhodes, handsome white satin brocade with rich iace : Miss Rhodes, white satin, black velvet sleeves; Mrs Lascelles, pale blue silk, pink trimming: Mrs Archer, black silk and lace, trimmed with heliotrope: Mrs Fenwick (Dunedin*, lovely dress of white satin. Watteau bow. trimmed with heliotrope ; Miss CampbelL effective gow n of green silk, with ported sleeves of pink silk and ruching at the foot, band* of pink velvet on the bodice: Miss Maude Helmore. pretty pink silk with passementerie. corselet bodice.
