ORDERS OF REFERENCE Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives Wednesday, the 12th Day of July, 1950 Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to consider all matters in connection with defence which may be referred to it: the Committee to consist of Mr. Anderton, Mr. Eyre, Mr. Gordon, the Hon. Mr. Jones, Mr. R. Macdonald, Mr. Macfarlane, Mr. Roy, Mr. Shand, Mr. Sim, and the Mover."—(Hon. Mr. Macdonald.) Ordered, " That all petitions not finally dealt with during the session of 1949 be again referred to the same Committees as they were referred to during the said session." —(Right Hon. Mr. Holland.) Tuesday, the 12th Day of September," 1950 Ordered, " That the New Zealand Army Bill be referred to the Defence Committee." — (Hon. Mr. Macdonald.) Ordered, " That the Royal New Zealand Air Force Bill be referred to the Defence Committee."— (Hon. Mr. Macdonald.)
REPORTS New Zealand Army Bill I am directed to report that the Defence Committee has carefully considered the New Zealand Army Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed without amendment. 21st September, 1950.
Koyal New Zealand Air Force Bill I have the honour to report that the Defence Committee has carefully considered the Koyal New Zealand Air Force Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed with the amendment shown in the copy of the Bill annexed hereto, 28th September, 1950.
