I am directed to report the opinion of the Committee : that these petitions should be referred to the Government for consideration with a view to having the time limit laid down by section 15 (5) of the Native Purposes Act, 1946, extended to allow claimants i;o make application to the Native Land Court; the Committee, however, has no xecommendation to make regarding the repeal of section 15 of the Native Purposes Act, 1946. 24th September, 1947.
