Timaru Borough Empowering Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a local Bill; that the Standing Orders have been complied with, with the exception of Standing Order 366, which in so far as it relates to the number of days from the commencement of the session within which local Bills may be introduced, was suspended by the House ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected ; and that the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. 24th August, 1938.

Coromandel County Reclamation and Empowering Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a local Bill; that the Standing Orders have been complied with, with the exception of Standing Order 366, which, in so far as it relates to the number of days from the commencement of the session within which local Bills may be introduced, was suspended by the House ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are affected, in that part of the lands proposed to be reclaimed for the purpose of providing an aerodrome for the District of Coromandel are Crown lands ; and that the honourable member in charge of the Bill has informed the Committee that he desires to withdraw the same and the Committee therefore recommends that leave to withdraw the Bill be granted him accordingly. 24th August, 1938.

Auckland Electric-power Board Amendment Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a local Bill; that the Standing Orders have been complied with, with the exception of Standing Order 366, which, in so far as it relates to the number of days from the commencement of the session within which local Bills may be introduced, was suspended by the House ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected ; and that the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 25th August, 1938.

Geraldine County River District Amendment Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a local Bill ; that the Standing Orders have been complied with, with the exception of Standing Order 366, which, in so far as it relates to the number of days from the commencement of the session within which local Bills may be introduced, was suspended by the House ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected ; and that the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 25th August, 1938.

Napier Airport Amendment Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a local Bill: that the Standing Orders have been complied with, with the exception of Standing Order 366, which, in so far as it relates to the number of days from the commencement of the session within which local Bills may be introduced, was suspended by the House ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected ; and that the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto.
