Paritutu Centennial Park Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a local Bill; that the Standing Orders have been complied with ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected ; and that the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 28th July, 1938.

Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a local Bill; that the Standing Orders have been complied with ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are affected, in that the Bill provides for the construction of certain works on land—namely, the bed of Wellington Harbour—which is in the title of the Crown ; and that the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 3rd August, 1938.

Opunake Harbour Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a local Bill; that the Standing Orders have been complied with ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected ; and that the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 11th August, 1938.

Ohai Railway Board Amendment Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a local Bill ; that the Standing Orders have been complied with ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected ; and that the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 11th August, 1938.

Lower Clutha River Improvement Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a local Bill; that the Standing Orders have been complied with ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are affected, as parts of the land included in the proposed Lower Clutha River Trust District are Crown lands ; and that the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 24th August, 1938.

Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill has, the honour to report that it is a local Bill; that the Standing Orders have been complied with ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are affected, as the Bill empowers the proposed Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board to carry out works on Crown lands ; and that the honourable member in charge of the Bill has informed the Committee that he desires to withdraw the same, and the Committee therefore recommends that leave to withdraw the Bill be granted him accordingly. 24th August, 1938.

Otago Harbour Board Empowering Bill. The Local Bills Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that it is a local Bill ; that the Standing Orders have been complied with, with the exception of Standing Order 366, which, in so far as it relates to the number of days from the commencement of the session within which local Bills may be introduced, was suspended by the House ; that the rights and prerogatives of the Crown are not affected ; and that the Committee recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed, with the amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill annexed hereto. 24th August, 1938.
