I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 10th September, 1936.
No. 2.—Petition of L. F. Roache, of Maxwell. Praying for compensation on account of alleged unskilful treatment while an inmate of the Wanganui Public Hospital. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be forwarded to the Government for consideration. 10th September, 1936.
No. 216. —Petition of W. Beaumont, of Christchurch. Praying for compensation for business losses allegedly caused by the Health Department. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for most favourable consideration. 10th September, 1936.
Dentists Bill. I have the honour to report that the Public Health Committee has heard evidence on and carefully considered the above-mentioned Bill and has made amendments therein. The Committee is of the opinion that the Bill should be proceeded with next session with the amendments shown on the copy of the Bill attached. 28th October, 1936.
No. 251.—Petition of C. M. Stagpoole, of Palmerston North. Praying for permission to practise prosthetic dentistry under the supervision of a qualified dentist. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 29th October, 1936.
No. 280. —Petition of G-. L. Lewis, of Dunedin. Praying that his name be placed on the Dentists' Register established under the Dentists Act, 1908. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. D. G. McMillan, Chairman. 29th October, 1936.
Special Report. I have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Public Health Committee passed the following resolution: " That this Committee place on record its high appreciation of the care and ability with which the Chairman, Dr. D.
