Special Report. I have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Goldfields and Mines Committee unanimously passed the following resolution: " That this Committee places on record its appreciation of the capable manner in which Mr. O'Brien, as Chairman, has conducted the business of the Committee, and of his interest and impartiality therein, and recommends that this resolution be reported to the House." James Thorn, a Member of the Committee. 31st October, 1936.

Special Report. I have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Goldfields and Mines Committee expressed, by resolution, its appreciation of the services throughout the session, of the Clerk of the Committee, Mr. E. M. Anderson, and directed that I should so report to the House. 31st October, 1936.

Final Report. I have the honour to report that during the session the Goldfields and Mines Committee, consisting of ten members, has held ten meetings, with an average attendance at each meeting of seven members. Seventeen petitions were referred to the Committee, sixteen were reported on and one is held over. J. O'Brien, Chairman. 31st October, 1936.
