No. 126,—Petition of Wai Yep and Co., of Opunake. Praying for special legislation directing the Taranaki Maori Trust Board to discharge a debt allegedly incurred by the acceptance and consumption of certain goods. _ _ I am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion that the petitioners are entitled to a settlement of their claim, but cannot recommend special legislation in regard to the matter. 25th September, 1934.

No. 240/1933,—Petition of Kipa Roera, of Ohau. Praying for relief in re Te Rawhiti No. 1. 1 . , I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make m regard to this petition. 25th September, 1934.

No. 84,—Petition of Kaka Porowini and 10 Others, of Whangarei. Praying that the report and recommendation of a Judge of the Native Land Court, on his petition No. 50 of 1927, be laid before Parliament and given effect to._ I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for consideration. The Committee desires to direct the attention of the Government to the report on the inquiry referred to in the petition. 25th September, 1934.
