Paper 112: Wool-improvement in the Dominion. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee has carefully considered the above-mentioned paper, relating to wool-improvement in the Dominion, and has heard considerable evidence thereon. The opinion on the question whether a wool-improvement scheme should be a national or an Island one was of a very divergent character. The Committee recommends that before any legislation is enacted to enforce any particular scheme of wool-improvement, a poll should be taken of those interested in the production of wool. The Committee also recommends that this report be referred to the Government for consideration. 18th December, 1933. H. S. S. Kyle. Chairman.
Special Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee wishes to express its great appreciation of the tact, courtesy, and ability with which the Chairman, Mr. Kyle, has presided over the business of the Committee during this session. It also desires that this resolution shall be recorded in the minutes of the Committee and be reported to the House. 20th December, 1933. F. Lye, Member of the Committee.
Final Report. T have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee, consisting of ten members, has held eleven meetings during the session, and that the average attendance of members has been five. Five Bills were referred to the Committee for consideration, all of which have been reported on to the House. One paper was referred to the Committee, and was considered and reported on to the House. 20th December, 1933. H. S. S. Kyle, Chairman.
