No. 827 (1907).—Petition of Heneriata Haeata, of Opotiki. Petitioner prays that the present documents of title to Whakapaupakihi No. 4 Block be cancelled, and that legislation be passed remedying the wrong suffered by the petitioner, so that she may be sole owner in the said Block. I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 10th September, 1908. Petitioner prays that, before coming to a decision upon the petition of Native owners of the Tutira Block, means be taken to ascertain from the Native Land Commission the true facts. I am directed to report that, as an action relative to the above petition is pending in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 10th September, 1908.
