Bull's Domain. «• Section No. 5, Block XI, Rangitoto Survey District. Area, 45 acres. Work done during year : Trees planted, fences extended, road approaches improved, gorse cleared, and ground laid down in grass. Improvements now on domain: Fencing, levelling, formed track, dressing-shed, and plantations. Used for sports, picnics, and rifle-shooting. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Removing gorse, improving shed, and sowing grass. BuKNYTHORPE DOMAIN. Sections Nos. 1501 to 1504, Block VII, Kairanga Survey District. Area, 44 acres 3 roods 23 perches. Work done during year : Trees planted and surface drainage carried out. Improvements now on domain : Fences, ornamental and shelter trees, and road. Leased. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Ploughing and cultivating 4£ acres, sowing rape to be fed off, and finally laying down the area in grass and further draining. Kketahuna Domain. Section No. 40d and Lot 1 of Section No. 40, Block VI, Mangaone Survey District. Area, 14 acres and 7 perches. Work done during year : Draining, ploughing, harrowing, rolling, grading, and sowing down an area in English grass. Improvements m,w on domain : Fencing, draining, ploughing, and grassing. Used for sports and grazing. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Planting trees and erecting fences. Fbatherston Domain. Section No. 338, parts of Sections Nos. 152, 116, and 123, and Suburban Section No. 122, Town of Featherston, and* the Featherston Town Reserve. Area, 88 acres and 5 perches. Work done during year: Fences and buildings repaired, paths cleared, and noxious weeds eradicated. Improvements now on domain : Picnic-shed and tables, band-rotunda, seats, grandstand, tennis-pavilion, plantations, and fences. Used for public recreation. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Planting trees and shrubs and keeping down noxious weeds. HaSTWBLL Domain. Section No. 64, Block XIV, Mangaone Survey District. Area, 12 acres 1 rood 24 perches. Work done during year : An area logged up. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, clearing, and grassing. Leased for grazing. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Ploughing and grass-sowing. During the year a fire destroyed an area of native bush which the Board was endeavouring to preserve. The area has now been sown down in grass. Horowhenua Lake Domain. Horowhenua Lake, Subdivision 38 and part Subdivision 39, Horowhenua IIii Block. Area, 964 acres 3 roods 17 perches. The purchase of 13J acres of land from the Natives as an addition to the domain has been completed. During the year the Board commenced the work of forming a road to give access to the lake Improvements now on domain : Road and drain. Used for boating and picnics. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Completing formation of road, planting trees, and generally improving the domain. HUNTKRVILI.E DOMAIN. Sections Nos. 9, 10, 17, 18, 25, 26, 33, 54, 155, 156, 157, 158, 159, 160, 161, 163, and 178, Town of Hunterville, and 35, Block XV, Tiriraukawa Survey District. Area, 38 acres 1 rood 6*6 perches. Work done during year : Fence erected, others repaired, and drains cleaned. Improvements now on domain : Fences, seats, drains, tennis-court, shed, 4 acres levelling and grassing, footballground, and conveniences. Used for football, cricket, golf, tennis, and general recreation. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Altering and repairing fences, forming tennis-court, and general improvements. Island Bay Domain. An irregularly shaped island situated in Block XI, Port Nicholson Survey District. Area, 8 acres. This domain consists of a rocky island situated in Island Bay. No improvements have been effected. Kaitawa Domain. Suburban Section No. 13, Town of Kaitawa. Area, 15 acres and 36 perches. Leased on improvement conditions. Improvements now on domain : Sixty-one chains fences, 6 chains drains, 2 acres plantation, sports-ground, and 3 acres grassing. Used for picnics. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Planting. Kensington Park Domain. Sections 156 and 157, Block X, Mangaone Survey District. Area, 6 acres 2 roods. This area was brought under the provisions of "The Public Domains Act, 1881," on the 7th October, 1907, and is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Wellington. It ,'s held under lease, the term of which expires on the 31st December, 1908.
