No. 9 (1906). —Petition of Pirihira Tarewa, of Haukaretu, near Upper Hutt. Petitioner prays for the issue to her of title to certain land at Ohariu. I am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee, the Government should be asked to bring down legislation to answer the prayer of the petition. Bth August, 1907.

No. 305 (1907). —Petition of Tupu Taingakawa and 12 Others, of Waharoa. Petitioners pray that Maoris may be allowed to administer their own lands. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make on this petition, as a question of policy is involved. 14th August, 1907.
