No. 584 (1906). —Petition of Makareta Pihopa (Mrs. Evans), of Paeroa. Petitioner prays that inquiry be made into her claims to certain Native land in Waipa Parish. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make on this petition. Bth August, 1907.

No. 321 (1906). —Petition of Rangitaniwha Pihama and Another, of Oeo, near Manaia. Petitioners pray that the Public Trustee be not permitted to lease certain lands described in the petition. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make on this petition as it was dealt with in the Maori Land Claims Adjustment and Laws Amendment Act of 1906. Bth August, 1907.

No. 35 (1907). —Petition of Wiremu Pita and Another, of Whangarei. Petitioners pray for compensation, &c, for the interest of Wi Tawaha (deceased) alleged to have been acquired by the Crown in the Opuawhango No. 3 Block. I am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee, this petition should be referred to the Government for inquiry. Bth August, 1907.

No. 457 (1906).— Petition of Hepia Inia and Others, of Parengarenga, North Cape. Petitioners pray for rehearing of succession to Herepete Kingi (deceased) in the Muriwhenuatika Block, and the definition of the relative interests in the said block. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make on this petition. Bth August, 1907.

No. 564 (1906). —Petition of Anaru Eketone and Others, of Ngaruawahia. Petitioners pray that the purchase of certain portions of the Rangitoto-Tuhua Block may not be proceeded with until errors in survey are adjusted -.• - I am directed to report that, in the opinion of the Committee, this petition should be referred to the Government for inquiry. Bth August, 1907.
