This hospital is rendered still more superfluous by the recent establishment of a fine new hospital at Hawera. lam bound to say, however, that it is well and economically managed. I have always found it in good order. The daily cost per head is 9s. IOJd., and the total treated during the year was twenty-six, with an average individual stay of 27'88 days.
