No. 2. PROGRESS REPORT OP THE NEW ZEALAND WAR MEDAL COMMISSIONER. To His Excellency Sir Geoege Febguson Bowen, Gr.C.M.G., &c, &c. Mat it please Yqitr Excellency,— In accordance with the instructions conveyed by the Commission of the Ist July, 1871, I have now the honor'to forward, for your Excellency's consideration, the enclosed Nominal Eolls A, B, and C, containing the names of applicants for the New Zealand "War Medal, which have been referred to me, and on the justice of which I have decided, up to present date, and since the publication of my last Eeport dated 13th December, 1871. In Eoll A are included the names of officers and men of the Colonial Forces who claim the Medal for services rendered prior to the 31st December, 1866. Eoll B contains the names of those claiming the Medal for services performed subsequent to the 31st December, 1866. Eoll C contains the names of deceased officers and men of the Colonial Forces, on whose behalf application has been made for the Medal by their representatives.
