Pursuant to section 35 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1921-22, I enclose report of Native Land Court herein. _ The petitioner expresses the desire to discontinue, and I therefore recommend that no further action be taken with regard to the petition. The Hon. the Native Minister, Wellington. R. N. Jones, Chief Judge. The Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1921-22. Taranaki Minute-book 36/55. The Native Land Court of New Zealand, Aotea District.—ln the matter of the petition, No. 241 of 1921 (Session II), of Taitoko-ki-Ngamotu Bailey, praying for an inquiry as to succession to interests of Ngawhairepo Hakaraia (deceased) in Sections 7 and 13, Ngatirahiri Block, referred to the Court under section 35 of the above-mentioned Act. At a sitting of the Court held at New Plymouth on the 9th day of May, 1924, the Court made inquiry into the above matter, and reports as follows :— 1. The petitioner appeared before the Court and stated he did not wish to proceed further with the matter. 2. The Court accordingly recommends that no further action be taken. As witness the hand of the Judge and the seal of the Court. Jas. W. Browne, Judge.
