ORDERS OF REFERENCE. Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives. Wednesday, the 3rd Day of September, 1919. Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to whom shall be referred Bills more particularly referring to labour; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Anderson, Mr. T. A. H. Field, Mr. Glover, Mr. Luke, Mr. Scott, Mr. Semple, Mr. Veitch, Mr. Walker, Mr. Wilkinson, and the mover." —(Right Hon. Mr. Massey.) Wednesday, the 10th Day of September, 1919. Ordered, " That the Workers' Compensation Bill be referred to the Labour Bills Committee."—(Right Hon. Mr. Massey.) Ordered, "That the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill be referred to the Labour Bills Committee."—(Mr. Walker.) EBPOETB. Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to which was referred the above Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed as amended. 9th October, 1919. Workers' Compensation Amendment Bill. The Labour Bills Committee, to which was referred the above Bill, has the honour to report that it has carefully considered the same, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed as amended. (Vide also 1.-9 a.) 9th October, 1919. No. 177.—Petition of May Ferguson and 30 Others, of the Bluff. Praying that Saturday half-holiday from noon be observed, also that the abolition of the late night be carried. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 17th October, 1919.
