SECOND DIVISION OF THE RAILWAY SERVICE (RETURNS RELATIVE TO PROMOTIONS FROM AND FINES PAID BY THE) DURING 1912-13.
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 16th October, 1913. Ordered, "That there be laid before this House a return showing, for the year 1912—13 —(1) The number of men of the Second Division of the Railway service who have been promoted to the First Division; (2) the number of men of the Second 'Division who have lost their promotion through being unable to accept a transfer; (3) the total cost of transfer of those who have been promoted; and (4) the amount the men of the Second Division have paid in fines as per punishment-list."—(Mr. Wttty.) Betukn. 1. The number of men of the Second Division of the Railway service who have been promoted to the First Division during the financial year ended 31st March, 1913 : 13. 2. The number of men of the Second Division who have lost their promotion through being unable to accept a transfer during the financial year ended 31st March, 1913 : 5. 3. The total cost of transfer of those who have been promoted during the financial - year ended 31st March, 1913 : £354 ss. Id. 4. The amount the men of the Second Division have paid in fines as per punishment-list during the financial year ended 31st March, 1913 : £297 10s. B. H. Hilby.
