COAL USED ON THE RAILWAYS (QUANTITY AND COST OF NEW ZEALAND AND IMPORTED) DURING 1907, 1908, AND 1909.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 6th July, 1910. Ordered, "That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) The average quantity of coal, in tons, used on the New Zealand railways for the years 1907, 1908, and 1909 ; (2) the amount of imported coal used on the railways, and the average cost per ton, for the years 1907, 1908, and 1909 ; and (3) the quantity of New Zealand coal used on the railways, and the average cost per ton thereof, for the years 1907, 1908, and 1909 respectively."—(Mr. Colvin.)
