1899. NEW ZEALAND.
ST. ANDREW'S, GLENAVY, AND WINCHESTER RAILWAY-STATIONS (BUSINESS TRANSACTED AT THE).
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated 6th October, 1899. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing, for the year ended 30th June, 1899, the amount of business transacted at each of the under-mentioned railway-stations, viz., St. Andrew's, Glenavy, and Winchester. Such return to specify—(l) The number of passengers carried from and to such stations respectively ; (2) the tonnage of goods carried each way ; (3) the quantity of grain and other farm produce ; (4) the number of sheep, cattle, horses, and other live-stock; (5) the number of telegrams despatched and received from and to each of such stations. The return further to show the number of officers employi dat each of the said stations, the offices held by them, and the salaries attaohed thereto."—(Hon. Major Steward.)
Note. —The return of railway-traffic is made out for year ending 24th June, 1899.
