EDUCATION: DETAILS OF EXPENDITURE OF BUILDING AND MAINTENANCE GRANTS, ATTENDANCE OF SCHOLARS, AND CAPITATION

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated 13th September, 1895. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return for the years 1891, 1892, 1893, 1894, showing—(l) The total amount allocated each year to each Education Board in the colony for building-grant; (2) the number of scholars on the roll of each education district at the end of each year aforesaid ; (3) the total amount spent by each Education Board each year in (a) repairs and maintenance, and (6) new schools , (4) the total number of new schools completed each year for such Education Boards (5) the amount of grant per school in each education district; and (6) the amount of grant per head of new scholars for each district in each year aforesaid." —(Mr. Pibani.)
