GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE LAND PURCHASES, THAMES PENINSULA (RETURN SHOWING AREA AND PRICE PER ACRE OF), SINCE 1873.
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives, dated 16th August, 1883. Ordered, " That there be laid on the table a return showing the number of acres of Native land acquired since 1873, on the Thames Peninsula, by the Government, also by private individuals, and the price per acre paid for the same." — (Mr. Cadman.)
Betubn showing the Area and Pbicb per Acre of Native Lands acquired by the Government and Private Persons respectively on the Thames Peninsula since 1873. By the Government .. 321,456 acres, at ss. IOJd., including all incidental expenses. By private persons 84,835 „ at 6s. 10-J-d., excluding „ P Sheridan, Native Land Purchase Office, For Under-Secretary Wellington, 4th September, 1883. Notr.—The whole of the Government and the bulk of the private purchases are shown in detail in Parliamentary Papers C.-3 and G.-6 respectively.
