WATER SUPPLY ON GOLD FIELDS.

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives, dated VBth July, 1873, " That there be laid upon the Table a Return showing in detail the expenditure in respect of Water Supply upon the Gold Fields, up to 30th June last; the number and dates of applications made to the Government for assistance by way of subsidy to Mining Companies, the number granted, and of those still under consideration; the dates at which the payments have been made to the Mining Companies whose services have been favourably considered, and the estimated sum that will be required to complete works already authorized by the Government."— (Mr. Harrison.)
