Inspector's Department, Union Bunk of Australia, Auckland, N. Z., 19th March, 18G2. Sin,— I have the honor to enclose you herewith a statement shewing the Sales effected by the Agents of the New Zealand Loan, £150,000, (6 per ceut.) and certified by them. This statement embraces all particulars of the receipts by the Bank for same, with the brokerage paid by imthority of the Agents, together with an account shewing the receipts on account of Credit of tlu> Government and payments at Debit; a Memorandum being affixed of sums placed with the London and Westminster Bank. I beg to state in explanation, that our London Offico does not receive monies on deposit, hence the amounts have been deposited with the Bank named. The question of interest being still left open, it has not been embraced into the present account. 1 have, &c, John Simpson, Assistant Inspector. The Honorable the Colonial Treasurer, Auckland.
