TE AWAMUTU SALE Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having held their sale at Te Awamutu where a full yarding of quality beef came forward and a large yarding of fat lambs and wethers. Pigs were penned in small numbers. The usual quality cattle of Mr G. 0. Bayly came forward and his prime P.A. bullocks made up to £l7. Mr S. Smith’s S.H. bullocks made up to £ls 11s and Mr A. Kay’s smaller prime P.A. bullocks made up to £l4 7s tld. In the dairy section calved dairy cows on account of Mr E. H. Cucksey made up to £2l. Quotations. —Cattle: Prime P.A. bullocks £l6 to £l7, medium £l4 7s 6d to £ls 10s, lighter £l2 to £l3, fat P.A. cows and hetTers £lO to £l3, smaller £8 10s to £9 15s, fat Jersey cows £7 to £8 ss, medium £5 to £6 10s, heavy boners £4 10s to £5 10s, medium £3 5s to £4 ss, smaller £2 10s to £3, 3-year store bullocks £ll 18s to £l3 4s, empty 2-year heifers £4 to £5 10s, yearling Jersey heifers £4 to £5. Sheep: Fat wethers 33s to 345, prime fat lambs 27s 9d to 30s, medium 24s to 26s 3d, store lambs 13s to 17s 6d, 5-year breeding ewes 29s to 30s. Dairies: Quality Jersey heiferß £l2 to £l4, backward £8 10s to £ll 10s, calved cows £l7 to £2l. Pigs: Heavy choppers £5 17s Gd to £6 17s Gd, medium baconerS £4 19s to £5 6s, heavy porkers £3 14s, breeding sows £7 to £B, maiden crossbred sows £6 to £7 10s, others £4 12s 6d to £6 ss. Store pigs on account of Tokanui Hospital made from £2 2s to £2 6s, medium store pigs £2 2s to £2 6s, smaller sorts 34s to 38s, weaners 27s to 28s.
