COMMANDOES LANDED

GREEK ISLANDS LIBERATED WARM WELCOME BY PEOPLE LONDON, Oct. 1 British forces have liberated three Greek islands. Commandoes were landed *in assault craft but found the Germans had fed. The inhabitants gave the British a warm welcome. One of the islands is Kythera, six miles off the mainland in the direction of Crete. The other two have nut been named.
