NEW GOVERNMENT

CROAT PARTY LEADER KING PETER'S ACTION LONDON, May 19 King Peter of Yugoslavia has dismissed his Cabinet and invited Dr. Ivan Subasic, a former Governor of Croatia, to form a new Government. The diplomatic correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that Dr. Subasic has agreed, provided that General Mikhailovich, the present minister of War, is not included. Yugoslav circles in London predict surprises when the names of the new members of the Cabinet are announced.

Dr. Subasic left Yugoslavia with the Government in April, 1941, and went to the United States, from which he has just returned, after receiving the invitation from King Peter. He is one of the leading members of the Croat Peasant Party and was among the first to acknowledge the importance of Marshal Tito’s movement.
