INSTITUTES AND DIVISIONS Kaipaki Institute.—At the monthlv meeting of the institute the president (Mrs iV P resl <ied over a fair attendf nc s: £ letter of thanks for gifts sent | to , jhe lepers was received and eight soldiers parcels were packed. Mrs Cowlev. who was the delegate to the council meeting held recently in Hamilton, gave a report of the meeting and was accorded a vote of thanks. The trading table was m charge of Mesdames A. Fisher and A Goodwin and did good business. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs J. Graham and Mrs F. Boyd Waharoa Institute.—There was a good attendance of members at the monthlv meeting, which was presided over by the president, Mrs Fetch. Mrs Hemslev. delegate for the Waikato East Federation meeting, gave an interesting report, which was greatly enjoyed. A demonstration of smocking and honeycomb work, by Mrs D. Gunn and Mrs Mac- | donald, was appreciated, as was a reading, "Madame Curie," by Mrs Honnor. Being Armistice Day, Mrs D. Gunn gave a short talk on the origin of Poppy Day in England.
