PLUNKET PUBLICATION

Plunket News is the name that has been given to the quarterly publication issued by the Dominion Council of the Plunket Society. The paper will publish news of the work done by the society throughout the Dominion. The first number was at the beginning of this month, and it is the aim of those conducting it to weld together the 72 branches of the society and to keep their members posted with news of each other. In its first issue, a survey of the height and weight of infants in their first i year of life is discussed. The de- ! cline in the infant mortality rate, rules governing the employment and work of Karitane nurses, and help for mothers are among the subjects discussed in the first issue.
