£7OO WORTH OF OPIUM
TWO CHINESE CHARGED (Bv Telegram—Press Association) AUCKLAND. Tuesday Opium stated to be of the value of £7OO in a black market was exhibited in the Police Court today when two Chinese were charged with being found in possession of it on November 21. The accused were Chen Sung Yuan, aged 28, seaman, and Nee Ah Kan. aged 26. labourer, both of whom were fined £3O by Mr J. Morling. S.M. The fines were paid immediately. The opium was forfeited to the Collector of Customs.
