CRICKET SEASON
HAMILTON CLUB’S MEETING The following officers were elected at the 21st annual meeting or the Hamilton Cricket Club last night: President, Mr J. B. Pomeroy (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs H. F. Blackie, W. B. Pomeroy, E. H. Boneham, R. A. Grigg, G. Edwards, W. Hawkins, C. Llssette, 11. Shepherd, B. W. Foster, N\ Winger (sen.); secretary and treasurer, Mr A. Taylor (re-elected); assistant secretary, Mr N. Winger; delegates to Waikato Association, Messrs A. Taylor, C. Webber and T. Duncan- evrutive and selectors, Messrs J. Mackle and N‘. Dutton. The annual report, arter referring to the difficulties of keeping a team it: the competitions, the players’ averages, friendly games, and the dizain on membership, showed that 29 members were serving with the forces. Tribute was paid to the late Mr L. Boechey, who had made the supreme sacrifice. The financial position was shown to he •satisfactory, and the gear was stated to have been maintained in good condition. The subscription was fixed at the same as last year, 27s 6d and 17s 6d, reducible to 25s and 15s ir paid by December I. It was decided to enter one to im in the Waikato competitions. Every opportunity will be taken to give young players experience in all branches or the game.
