WEDDINGS

TEMPLER—KENDRICK The marriage was solemnised in St. Peter’s Cathedral, Hamilton, recently between Margaret Lindsay, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. H. Kendrick, “Springhaven,” Hamilton, and Sergeant Hugh Reginald Templer, youngest son of Mr John Templer, Hillcrest, Hamilton, and the late Mrs Templer. The Rt. Rev. C. A. Cherrington, Bishop of Waikato, was the officiating minister. The bridegroom is a member of the Middle East furlough party. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a graceful gown of ivory satin, her tulle veil being held in place with orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of cream spring flowers. Miss Kitty Templer, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Hazel Shirley were in attendance as bridesmaids and wore similar frocks of pink georgette with tiny hats to match and carried bouquets of pink hyacinths. Corporal Leslie Annett, recently returned from the Middle East, was best man and Second-Lieutenant John Kendrick, brother of the bride, was groomsman. The bride travelled wearing a smart grey ensemble with a wine hat and accessories.
