GIRL WORKERS
ACCOMMODATION NEED Good accommodation for working girls in Hamilton has become extremely urgent. The seriousness of the position is indicated by the large number of inquiries being received by the Hamilton branch of the Y.W.C.A., which has decided to open an- accommodation bureau and to Beek the names of people willing to let rooms or provide suitable board. It is emphasised that it is hoped that citizens will look upon this provision of accommodation as a community service. An appeal is being made to people who do not usually let rooms or take boarders. If people would take girls into their own homes they would be rendering a great service to the community as a whole, stated a representative of the Y.W.C.A. this morning. The new bureau would be sponsored by the board of directors of the Y.W.C.A. Rooms to let would be inspected and every endeavour would be made to select girls who would be found suitable by the owners of the homes.
