TONIGHT’S PROGRAMMES REGENT THEATRE “Who Done It?” is a rollicking comedy showing what happens when the popular comedians, Bud Abbot and Lou Costello, attempt to solve a murder In a radio station. At times the run gets fast and Turious, and throughout the audience is kept chuckling. Especially funny is the scene lu which the comedians get Involved in a thrilling stage acrobatic act. Latest war news and a March of Time dealing with the activities of the Federal Bureau ot investigation are also screened. ROXY THEATRE “Hullabaloo” is a sparkling musical comedy, with tuneful music, clever dancing spectacular ensembles, and gay comedy. -carry Me Back to old \ irglnny,” -Jeanle With the Light Brown Hair” and other popular songs are introduced. The cast includes Frank Morgan, Virginia Grey. Leni Lynn. Virginia O'Brien and Charles Holland i the famous Negro tenor;. "This Tiling Called Love” Is an amusing sophisticated romantic comedy, with Rosalind Russell and Melvyn Douglas heading a very strong cast. STATE THEATRE “A Little Bit of Heaven.” with Gloria Jean, and "Murder Among Friends,” with Marjorie Weaver and John Hubbard, will be screened tonight. Appealing sentiment, merry comedy and delightful romance are contained in "A Little Bit or Heaven.” Gloria Jean, besides taking the leading role successfully, sings very cnarmlngly. Hugh Herbert, Nun orey and Robert stack also do splendid work. "Murder Among Friends” is as interesting as it is exciting, and holds the close attention of the audience throughout. THEATRE ROYAL “Sherlock Holmes and the Voice of Terror,” leaturing Basil Rathbone, will be screened today. There Is no more famous ilgure of llction, stage and screen than Sherlock Holmes, and in "Sherlock Holmes and the A'olce of Terror” be Is seen In one of his most thrilling exploits. Basil Rathbone appears successfully as the famous detective and Nigel Bruce as the amusing Dr. Watson. Evelyn Ankers, Reginald Denny and Montague Love are prominent in the cast. CIVIC THEATRE (Like most of America’s colourful and fascinating figures, ißelle Starr has taken her place on the screen. 'Belle was a beautiful bandit queen, a Jesse James in skirts—and she was one ul' the most amazing and romantic women in American history. The Mm, “Belle Starr,” lias been produced In technlcolour with Randolph Scott and Gene Tierney in the leading roles.
