WEDDING
ORMOND—COMERFORD St. Peter’s Cathedral, Hamilton, was the scene of a pretty wedding recently, when Phyllis Mary Comerford, only daughter of Mrs A. J. Williamson, Warwick, Hamilton, was married to Harold Walter, youngest son of Mrs M. Ormond, Palmerston North. The Rt. Rev C. A. Cherrington, Bishop of Waikato, performed the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church with her step father, wore a beautiful ivory frock of stiffened net and insertion. From a top knot of chrysanthemum buds fell a lovely tulle veil. She Carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and pale pink carnations.
In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Jean Lowe, who wore a dusky pink frock, with a top knot of nerines and roses. She carried a bouquet to tone. The bridegoom was attended by Private G. Edmonds, of Palmerston North.
The guests were received by Mrs Williamson wearing a black boucle suit, matching hat and a shoulder spray of scarlet roses. She was assisted by Mrs Ormond, who wore a black wool georgette ensemble and accessories to tone. She wore a shoulder spray of deep pink carnations.
For travelling the bride wore a grey tailored costume, black hat and accessories. Mr and Mrs H. W. Ormond will make their home in Palmerston North.
