NEW ZEALAND ACE PILOT (Received June 15, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 14 The immediate award of the Distinguished Service Order to the ace fighter pilot, Squadron-Leader O. Gray, of Gisborne, is announced from the Allied Headquarters in North Africa. Squadron-Leader Gray has a score of 21± enemy aircraft destroyed. He took over command of the squadron last January. The citation pays tribute to his aggressive spirit and leadership.
