SCHOOLGIRL MISSING

CLAUDELANDS DISTRICT INQUIRY BY POLICE The whereabouts of a girl aged 12, missing since yesterday morning from Claudelands, is sought by the Hamilton police. The girl, Barbara Constance Nicoll, left home at about 8.30 a.m. to attend the Hamilton East primary school, and failed to return in the afternoon to her home in St. Winifred’s Avenue. She did not attend school yesterday. She is described as of fair complexion and hair, brown eyes, about sft. 4in, in height, well built and of pleasant countenance. She was wearing a navy blue shirt and gymnasium frock, black shoes and long black stockings, and dark school hat. She had a schoolbag with her when she left home.
