Gurnell, Hamilton, | i recently, when the sum of £22 12s | 6d was handed in to be forwarded to | Wellington. Miss Bonnie Gurnell | received a letter from Mr D. V. I Bryant forwarding £2 2s and the | afternoon concluded with games and afternoon tea. Reporting to the annual meeting of the Hamilton branch of the British and Foreign Bible Society, the secretary, Miss Lorna M. Clark, said that new branches had been formed at Ohinewai and Mercer. Collections had totalled £683,. a record and £37 in excess of the amount raised in 1941. Mrs I. M. Stephenson-Craig was re-elected president, and Miss Clark, secretary.
