He left New Zealand three days before the war broke out. to ; undergo a nine months' course in England before joining the colonial I administrative service in Nigeria. On arriving in Nigeria he joined •|up with the Nigeria Regiment and | saw service in Kenya before going • to England on leave. His best man was Dr. Lloyd RichWhite, of Auckland. Lieutenant D.
