AGREEMENT AT CONFERENCE (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday Wages and working conditions in mines and means of increasing the production of coal were discussed at a conference in Wellington this week between the Coal Mine Owners’ Association and the United Mine Workers of New Zealand. The Minister of Mines, the Hon. P. C. Webb, said this evening that complete agreement had been reached between the parties concerned and the details would be submitted to various organisations for ratification.
