BETTER RESPONSE

SCHOOL TRENCH DIGGING The Hamilton West School was the scene of lively trench digging today in spite of the humid weather conditions which prevailed throughout the day. Mainly as a result of appeals sent home with the pupils, a better response was received than was the case last week. Stripped to the waist, the volunteers began work promptly after lunch. Among these patriots were three boys of primary school age who went to work with a will. Digging operations continued at the other schools in the Hamilton district.
