SOCIAL NOTES
Mrs D. Macintosh, Hamilton, Dominion President of the National Council of Women, who has been visiting Invercargill during a South Island tour, has returned North. Mrs G. G. Warren, Hamilton, is spending a holiday at Waihi Beach. Mrs Guy Roberts has returned to Hamilton from an extended visit to the South Island. Mrs Peter Bruce, Hamilton, is spending a holiday with Mrs E. G. Rhodes, Gisborne, and will later visit Rotorua. Mrs H. R. Bush, Auckland, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs Kent Purdie, Hamilton. V Mrs T. J. Kennedy, Hamilton, is visiting Hawera, where she is the guest of Mrs H. Briggs. Miss Lorna White, Hamilton, is visiting Rotorua and will spend Easter at Takapuna. Mrs E. J. Johannessen, Auckland, and Mrs L. C. Robinson, Wellington, are at the Commercial Hotel. Sister Matthews, who was so severely wounded when the Rangitane was shelled some eighteen months ago and who has been in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, since, has arrived in Wellington for plastic surgery treatment, and is now a patient in Jthe Lewisham Hospital.
