ACQUITTED OF MURDER

AFRICAN APPEAL DECISION (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Monday It was announced in October that following the death in Kenya of Mrs F. L. Corrigan, formerly well known in Tauranga, her son-in-law, the Rev. V. V. Verbi. was found guilty by a jury of murder after an extended ti’al. An appeal against the verdict was lodged in Kenya and was heard in Mombasa. A cable has been received from Kenya statin" that the appeal was successful and v’erbi has been acquitted.
