SUMMER WEATHER
SWIMMING PLACES POPULAR Typical summer weather has prevailed for the last week, and yesterday was brilliantly sunny, with the maximum temperature 84 degrees. The warm conditions induced many people to go to the swimming places at the lake and the river, while the municipal baths were well patronised. The delightful weather induced a large number to visit the Hamilton Lake in tne afternoon. IVfost of the people were interested spectators of the Hamilton Yacht Club’s regatta, in which several boats from other centres were competing. The most spectacular was the general'handicap event, in which 19 yachts took part, making a very attractive sight, for the prevailing light winds showed off the sailing qualities of the boats to advantage. Other craft were m use on the lake, and swimmers am bathers were present in larger numbers than usual.
