CADETS PARADE

END OF WEEK’S TRAINING The final phase of the week’s military training undertaken by the cadets of the Hamilton High School was an inspection by Major J. Oliphant, M.C., Area Officer for the No. 4 (Hamilton) military district, followed by a battalion march past, in which Major Oliphant took the salute. A feature of the parade was the great steadiness of the boys, and it was stated afterward that the parade was the best for years. “Be as helpful as possible to your teachers and parents during the present anxious times,” said Major Oliphant in a brief address to the battalion after the march past. He stressed the value of the military training and drill undertaken during the week and said that the benefits received were apparent in the bearing of the cadets on parade.
