GAS MASKS ISSUED

E.P.S. IN AUCKLAND (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Friday The Mayor and Chief Warden, Mr J. A. C. Allum, said the Auckland Emergency Precautions Service had already distributed 1500 masks to workers, including rescue and contamination parties, the gas detection group and firemen. “We are trying to arrange the manufacture of civilian masks or respirators in New Zealand,” Mr Allum added.
