Dr. R. H J. Hamlin, of the Christchurch Hospital, and Dr. M. Gatman, of the Dunedin' Hospital, have been jointly awarded the New Zealand University medical travelling scholarship. Mr. S. Lewis, of Cambridge, acted as a member of the No. 2 Armed Forces Appeal Board at tne MorrinsviJle sitting yesterday, owing to the indisposition of the chairman, Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M. Mr Osmar E. White, former chief of the reporting staff of the Taranaki Daily News, has been appointed the official war correspondent in the Western Pacific war zone for three Australian newspapers. Messrs C. Sander (Wellington) and R. G. Coldham (Auckland.) are at the Hamilton Hotel. Messrs J. M. Hyam, A. E. Downes, M. K Gloves (Auckland). K. Brosnchan (Rotorua), and J. E. Richardson (Te Aka 1 .:; are at the Commercial Hotei.
